At about six o’clock on Friday night, I decided that I needed to get over my apprehension about filet crochet and just do it. The good news: My apprehension was unfounded. Filet crochet is super easy!
It is so super easy, in fact, that I thought I could design a series of sci fi bookmarks with FRELL (Farscape), FRAK (BSG), and SHINY (Firefly) and still have time to paint a canvas and maybe watch something on TV with my husband before bed. Snort. Twelve hours later, I have finished the bookmark – the one, lone, single bookmark, albeit the one, lone single bookmark containing the best faux-swear word in all of science fiction: Frell! (For the record, one can also be a frellnik.)
If you’ve never tried filet crochet, you’re going to be astounded. It’s basically this: (DC, ch 2, sk 2), repeat. That’s just sleazy easy.
Use a Size 0 thread (“Classic 10”) and a 1.5mm hook for best results.
If you’d like the chart, you can grab it for free right here! That makes it a free filet Farscape find! Fabulous! Farscape Filet Bookmark_wonderstrange

BOOM goes the filet dynamite! 😀
If I unlock one more, I get a trophy. Or a laser ax. I can't remember.

OMG, how fun is that?! Thank you for the nice words – and enjoy Farscape! That makes me want to watch the whole thing again, which I just did at the end of last year. LOL.
